Social Media for Making a Difference

NBC Nightly News Anchor, Brian Williams heads up a movement that purposes to help someone who is in need this Saturday, October 22 - calling this "Make A Difference Day".  Can social media be used to help make a difference in someone's life?  I say yes it can! You can help ME make a difference by donating your new/unused/or gently used coats for a community coat give-away sponsored and hosted by the members of my church, 1st Gethsemane (1st "G") Church right here in the big "L"!

If we can use social media to vent and voice our opinions and even elect a president of the United States, we can use it to make a child warm where he or she might otherwise be cold during the upcoming winter months.  So bring your coats to me during class on Thursday and watch the magic as you use social media to make a difference!

Oh, and read the article about Brian Williams' efforts and how other celebrities are using social/new media to make a difference in the USA pamphlet found in this past Sunday's Courier-Journal newspaper.  Brian is featured on the cover.
